Miller Makey and Howard Sokolov Memorial Poster Session Application

Every year we ask for student presentations of relevant work to be presented at our annual conference. Check back for our 2022 conference details.

To promote continued excellence in the pursuit of the science of forensic psychology/psychiatry, the Association of Ohio Forensic Evaluation Center Directors invites graduate psychology, medical and law students, or medical residents to present poster summaries of their work at our annual education conference. We do this to honor our mentors, Howard Sokolov and Miller Makey.

The topics must intersect with psychiatry, clinical psychology, forensic psychology/psychiatry, correctional psychology/psychiatry, legal/forensic testimony, and neuropsychology.

Posters may report on recent empirical (quantitative or qualitative) studies or non-empirical (theoretical/review) projects.  However, there is a significant preference for posters with empirical studies over non-empirical theoretical reviews.

Accepted submissions for 2021 will be presented virtually via a video file that is not to exceed five (5) minutes in length.

Participants also will be required to submit a PDF file that can be downloaded by interested attendees.

The presentation will be followed by a networking chat session during which they can discuss their presentations.
